For the purposes of this code, pools are classified as private swimming pools or public swimming pools as defined in section of this chapter. The gratings shall be of such design so they cannot be readily removable by bathers and will not injure bathers’ fingers. In swimming pools thirty feet 30′ in width or less, water circulation system outlets shall be located so as to provide at least one outlet at the deepest point in the pool.

Notwithstanding the foregoing requirements of this section, a residence located on the same property as such an outdoor swimming pool may be used as one or more of the sides of the required enclosure.
