The whole nation of India should be grateful to Anuj Dhar, who after nearly 6 years of research and compilations of facts from diverse sources, from the Russian archives, from the memories of hundreds of people who knew Netaji, has completed this book which should be must-read for anyone who is interested in recent history of India and about the fate of Netaji Subhas.

The verdict of the latest investigation commission Mukherjee Commission supports the main thesis of this book that Netaji could not be killed in an air-crash in Taipei in August because there was no air-crash in Taipei at that time at all.

Thus, other two commissions of investigations Sahnawaj Khan and Khosla have resorted to falsehood on behalf of the India government which was determined to stop any publicity on Netaji. This book should be translated into major Indian language to reveal to the people the conspiracy organized by the Nehru government to supress any information about the final destiny of Netaji. For all those who care for truth and transparency, this where it all begins. Simply put, people are going to be shocked at the extent of this cover up.

Anuj Dhar’s book is extremely well written and gives a detailed account of how the truth was murdered at the behest of certain individuals. The book clearly proves beyond doubt that Netaji managed to fake his death! Mukherjee in his commision of enquiry. Now what happened next,is the big question.

The answer lies with the classified files in PMO and Russian archives. It is imperative for all Netaji’s fans to read the book and get a comprehensive background into the whole mystery. It is available at a very reasonable price in India for Rs and i think its worth every rupee! Its also available online at [ The propaganda machine in India has dug its roots deep.

If you tell a layman that Bose did not die in the plane crash, you would probably be scorned at. It’s amazing how, somehow, everyone ‘knows’ that he died so. Who are they placing their trust in? But, in this case, there was also the Japanese govt.

Why would bback Japanese not speak the truth? Could it be that?? Fortunately, the book begins with the ‘popular’ perception of Bose’s final days.

Fortunately, because, even those details are not that well-known to many. Gradually, the author describes how this popular story has a lot of loopholes, and then puts forward the case that the gaps and the inconsistencies are just too many for this story to be true.

Debunking this popular perception is a daunting task, and the author succeeds in doing so with the help of his painstaking research. The parts of the book where he describes the background as well as the proceedings of the 2 enquiry commissions into the death and disappearance of Bose brings out the criminal apathy or is it willful negligence?

The author also provides interesting stories about Bose spottings that were doing rounds many years after his alleged death. The startling episode where PM Desai effectively trashes the findings of the 2 commissions was quite a news. The reader can feel the pain imagining Bose being hunted by Intelligence officials world over while still being declared – and assumed – dead in his home country.

The denouement of the Bose climax, it seems, was unacceptable even to the author at first. But ‘trunkloads’ of evidence bolstering this unlikely finale can’t just be ignored! When the full story is out, it overwhelmes you completely and leaves you with a strange feeling of pain mixed with relief, anger mixed with joy, frustration mixed with some satisfaction, and a host of lingering questions.

An excellent collation of facts as well as legends surrounding the Bose mystery.

Although not a good read from literature point of view, the reader can’t but appreciate the author’s sincere bsck in his quest bac, get to the truth. The fear is, the truth may be so earth-shattering that people might just dismiss it without giving it any serious consideration. This book aims to prevent just that, and clearly, succeeds!

In this book, the author undergoes a journey to reveal the truth, a truth which has always been bypassed earlier. In that sense, his writing depicts the style of an investigative journalism in the course of which he begins exploring facts which reveal that under the official version, there is a darker side of this mystery. And every claim the author has made in this process has been backed by solid evidences.

That makes the reading more authentic, real. It leaves the reader with lots of insight and questions about the existing society or the society which has drowsily existed xhar the last fifty-eight years of India’s independence.
